Departmental Syndicate for Energy
The site has quite a normal, everyday history common to these parts of our cities, where the spontaneous urban development has created a landscape noted for its diversity. Residential buildings, shopping centres, industrial wasteland and tertiary activities live alongside each other without this being intentional. A careful consideration of this area led us to form an architectural response seeking a dialogue which both continues and breaks free from this reality. Continued alignments to reinforce the street layout, the building is set back from the road, like the neighbouring buildings. Continuity from the access road and car park, creating a side courtyard. For the remainder of the plot, the existing vegetation is retained due to its landscaping and ecological value.
