The Conventual Ensemble of the Jacobins is an architectural testimony to the way of building in the South of France in the 13th and 14th centuries. It showcases a 28-metre high palm tree that supports the vault of the church, a masterpiece that is unique in the world.

This monument was the subject of a general restoration including the renovation of the northern area, the restitution of the top parts of the bell tower (57 m) with replacement of the pinnacles, the restitution of interior spaces (vaults, painted decorations), the restoration of the roofs and the creation of exterior installations. 

The restoration work, improving the safety of the building and bringing it up to standard, has made it possible to install a new reception and ticketing area as well as a shop in the historic sacristy, enhanced by a contemporary wooden vault. The Chapel of the Virgin is now accessible to the public. The lighting of the building has been redesigned to highlight this unique architectural ensemble.
