Housing Grelot
This new housing programme reflects a real commitment in terms of social responsibility and environment. In keeping with the neighbourhood's physiognomy, the architecture is based on sustainable construction processes using low-carbon materials (prefabrication, rapid construction, low grey energy, bio and localy-sourced materials, etc.). This renovation and construction project is part of a logic of energetic sobriety. Indeed, the aim is to create a frugal yet noble building that anticipates future regulations and climatic changes, an affordable place of high quality in order to feel good at home and provide a high feeling of togetherness.
Great care was paid to the consistency of volumes in historic urban area, with two new two-floored buildings arranged around a greenery island system, just next to the old building, renovated on its three floors. All of existing trees will be preserved and will form the landscape framework of the site. In order to open up the site to the neighbourhood, soft paths will allow pedestrians to walk through residence's park to create a connection between Place de l'Armistice and Rue Grelot.
